Having grown up in a home where his father was a high school teacher/coach, turned campus and district administrator, and his mother was a classroom teacher, Rex Keese has a Bachelor of Science degree in Military History from the United States Air Force Academy. He was an aircraft commander and instructor pilot in Tactical Airlift and Air Force Special Operations, also known as Air Commandos. He presently is an international airline captain for a major commercial airline, and married to Gabe Keese, a math teacher, tutor, and lead teacher/grade level coordinator.
For the last twenty plus years Rex has been involved in various levels of the Texas public school system. Familiar with classroom, campus, and district leadership challenges, Rex has most recently spent nine years on a North Texas district’s Board of Trustees, two years of which as President.
